Alfred's siblings were Eva Ann (1884-1946), Maudie M. (1886-1890), William H. (b.1889), Chester A. (1891-1894) Harry B. (1893-1965), and Charles Edwin (1896-1918).
I found the family on the 1900 Census, living in Union Twp. (today the Argos/Culver area), where Charley was farming for a living. Mary reported that four of her seven children had survived to that census--Eva, William, Harry, and Charles, all of whom were living at home with their parents. Alfred died in 1883 at age one year, three months and one day, Maudie in 1890, and Chester in 1894.
The family was still in Union on the 1910 Census, Charley was still farming, and only Harry and Chester were still living at home. Eva had married Carl E. Anderson on 14 Sep. 1908 in Marshall Co., Indiana, and William had married Daisy E. Rector on 7 Jun. 1904 in Marshall Co.
By the 1920 Census, the nest was empty. Harry had married Myrtle May Smith on 4 Jul. 1915 in Marshall Co., and Charles Edwin had married wife Cora.
Mary died two years after that census. I found Charley on the 1930 Census, widowed, and living alone, but son Harry, Harry's wife Myrtle, and their three sons Marvin, Charles, and Lester, were living next door.
Charley died in 1942 at age 84.
