GLENDIVE - Fritz Aasen, who worked for Milne Implement Co. until retiring in 1976, died Tuesday in Glendive Community Hospital at age 81.
Born in Kongsberg, Norway, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Halvor Aasen, he grew up in Norway and came to the United States in 1916, settling in the Richey-Circle area. He farmed in the area and in 1925, married Marie Helgeson. In 1937, they moved into Glendive and in 1955, moved to Silver Gate and operated the Timberline Lodge. The couple returned to Glendive in 1965.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Darrell of Fort Peck, and a sister, Mrs. Ingoborg Knudsen of Kongsberg.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Dawson Memorial Park with Silvernale Mortuary in charge.
