Monday evening of last week, Mrs. Sallie Toomey, wife of John B. Toomey, of Juniata township, was stricken with apoplexy and died Tuesday night. She never regained consciousness after the stroke. Her maiden name was Smith and she was an estimable woman. She was aged about 66 years. Her remains were interrerd in the Newport cemetery Saturday evening.
