L.B Hortick, 67, resident of Great Falls and employee at the Anaconda Copper Mining Co. smelter for about 50 years, died at this home Sunday night. He died suddenly but had been under a doctor’s care for some time.
Hortick, who was born in France December 16, 1882, came to America when a boy and lived in Great Falls about 50 years.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Bernard, Francis and Donald, all of Great Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Russo, Long Island, N.Y.; Mrs. Helen Mitzner, Geraldine, and Mary Hortick of Great Falls; two brother in Great Falls, Ray and Mike Hortick, and another brother in France; five sisters, Mrs. William McInns in Lancaster, California, and four in France, and six grandchildren.
Hortick was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Men’s Catholic Order of Foresters, Elks Lodge and the Holy Name Society of St. Ann’s. The funeral arrangements will be announced by O’Connor’s Funeral Home.
