Frederic Barret, who died yesterday at his home on East Street, was born in Russia, October 5, 1855. Mr. and Mrs. Barrett came to America in August, 1870, and settled on a farm near Reading, where they lived until they moved to Emporia seven years ago. Mrs. Barrett survives her husband. There are no children. Mr. Barrett was a member of the Modern Woodmen and a life-long member of the Lutheran Church. The Funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Lutheran Church. The Rev. Carl G. Aue will conduct the services. The interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
