LouVonnia Lea Prunty, 72, of Pennsboro, passed away June 8, 2012 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 20, 1940 in Pullman, a daughter of the late Alphred McCloy and Wilma (Jones) McCloy. She was a homemaker and previously worked for the Pennsboro and Harrisville Garment factories. She was an avid quilter and had won numerous blue ribbons and awards for her quilting. She was a member of the Wince Chapel Church and Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Francis Prunty, Sr.; two sons, Francis (Melanie) Prunty, Jr. of Salem and Melvin (Heather) Prunty of Pennsboro; three daughters, April Lynne Prunty of West Union, Angela Christine Prunty of Pennsboro and Melinda Jane Prunty of Pennsboro; brother, Alphred "Wimpy" McCloy of Pennsboro; four sisters, Edie Wright of Medina, Ohio, Ada Bills of Belmont, Wendy Steele of Pennsboro and Linda Kester of St. Marys. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, C. J. Hartman, Chadrick Hartman, Teontia Dailey, Derek Dailey, Rebekah McKinney, Kenda Godfrey, Megan Utter, Marissa Utter, Tiffany Prunty, Brandi Prunty, Nicholas Prunty and Nathan Napier; and nine great-grandchildren, Alaiyah Faith James, Christian Andres Ovalle, Whitney Godfrey, Landon Godfrey, Alexzander Sellers, Gavin Hartman, Lucas Hartman, Dylan Keplinger and Kyle Keplinger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Louanna L. Prunty; brothers, Johnny and Arlie McCloy; and sister, Elfreda Robinson.
Funeral services will be Monday, 11 a.m. at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery, Pullman. Visitation will be Sunday, 6-8 p.m.
