Sarah Malinda Nuby was born in Lawrence County, near Wren, Alabama. Her family lived in the Bankhead Forest late 1800's where her father manage a Pencil MFG Company. Early in 1900's they came aquained with the Nuby Family that moved to the the Wren, Alabama area becoming good friends. Soon her and two of the Armstrong sisters married three of the Nuby brothers. In 1918 the Nuby's and the Armstrong's moved to Hartselle, Alabama.
Mrs. Nuby lived near Leesdale, Alabama in a community named Cedar Creek Community. Mr. & Mrs. Nuby moved their family to Birmingham, Alabama.
