Georgia was a vibrant and happy woman, dedicated to her family, living the gospel, and finding joy in her journey through life. She was the 5th of 10 children born to Ray and Frankie Finlinson in Oak City, Utah on March 22, 1923. On September 20, 1948, she married her husband of 54 years, Carl Henry Whatcott, in the Manti, Utah LDS temple. Together she and Carl raised 8 children, were the Grandparents of 32 grandchildren, and 36 great grandchildren. Before devoting her life to marriage, motherhood, and baking, she dreamed of attending BYU and studying physical education. World War II altered those plans and she went to work to support the war effort working at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah.

A lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Georgia served others faithfully throughout her life. As a young woman, she served as a missionary in the Western States Mission. With her husband, Carl, Georgia served missions in Micronesia, the St. David Stake, Philadelphia, and the Arizona Tucson mission. Other callings that enriched her life & the lives of those she served, were Ward Primary President, Ward Relief Society President, Stake Young Women's President, Seminary Teacher, teacher in Primary, Young Women, & Relief Society. Her final calling was serving as Cub Scout Den Leader at age 86. She loved to dance, laugh, and sing. Over the years, she participated in many church and community choirs.
