Neola Rosalyn Elder was born 7/7/1932 to (Zona) Velma and Fred Elder in Pratt, Kansas. Rosie, as she was known to her family attended school in Pratt. She loved music and played the clarinet in the band. She tried out and was chosen for the American Canadian School Girl Band. Upon graduation, she worked in the bank. Rosie followed her family when they moved to the family farm in Wright, Kansas. After the death of her dad, she and her mother operated the farm until her death in 1999. Rosie also continued to play the clarinet in church until her death.
