GRISWOLD -- Mrs. Clarence Armstrong, 91, died Thursday at the Cass County Memorial hospital following surgery.
Mrgaret Hester McCarty was born at Walnut Sept. 4, 1878, the daughter of Michael and Mary Fitzpatrick McCarty and was married to Clarence Armstrong Sept. 19, 1911 at Walnut. The couple spent their entire married life in rural Lewis.
Surviving besides her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Mildred) Buboltz of Lewis; two sons, Lyle and Gail of Lewis; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Waters of Atlantic.
Rosary will be recited at 7 0'clock tonight at the Wagler funeral home with funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Grace church in Griswold with buerial in the Catholic cemetery at Walnut.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
