Ms. Annette Taylor, age 86, of Vernon, AL passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point, MS.

Ms. Taylor was born August 10, 1925 in Monroe County, MS to the late Woody Macon and Lena Irvin Faulkner Gideon. She was a member of Free Will Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, where she served faithfully to the Ladies Auxiliary and faithfully attended Sundcy School and church. Ms. Taylor worked several years at McCoy Mfg. and at the Cafeteria at Vernon Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, going to singings, quilting and shopping. Ms. Taylor always served in her community helping elders.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9,2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Free Will Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Wofford Cemetery under the direction of Otts Funeral Home, Sulligent, AL.

Survivors include her son, Donald R. (Noble) Taylor, Vernon, AL; four grandchildren, Deborah (Ken) Phelps, Daphne Taylor, April (Adam) Fiske and Breana Taylor; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Edsel (Judy) Gideon, Vernon, AL.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Brown Taylor; brother, Buddy Gideon; three sisters, Eunice Eads, Billy Chism and Ailene Gilbreath.
