Glenys was the daughter of Edward 'Ted' and Effie Anderson, and had 5 siblings: Kenneth, Mildred, Wayne, Cliff and Lawrence. She graduated from Ritzville High School, Ritzville, WA in 1927, and from Northwestern Business College in 1930. She started her career in Spokane, WA as a stenographer and then legal secretary in 1930, and worked for the law firm: Powel & Herman, which eventually evolved to Dillard & Powell, then Powell & Nethercutt, then Nethercutt & Nethercutt, and finally Nethercutt & Daly. Glenys was a charter member of the Spokane Legal Services Association and was honored in
1993 as a 50-year member of the Quota Club. Quota International was founded in 1919. This club changes lives through service and friendship for deaf, hard-of-hearing and disadvantaged women and children in local
communities worldwide. She retired in 1994 at the age of 84. She is buried at Fairmount Memorial Park, Spokane, WA. There were no children from this marriage.
