Alice was a 1904 graduate of Lake Forest College with Bachelors Degree in Education. She obtained her Masters Degree from Cornell University at Ithaca, NY. With the exception of a few years in California, she spent her entire life in Plainfield, teaching in the Plainfield and Joliet schools. In 1921 she returned to the Plainfield High School as Principal and teacher of Latin and Mathematics, until her retirement on June 1, 1936.
