An obituary for A. C. [Art] Yakey states that he had died March 10, 1976 in the Shelby County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Yakey was born in Shelby County, the son of Sherman and Margaret Roley Yakey. He married Maggie Boldt on March 9, 1930. Surviving were his wife; brother, Gaylord of Shelbyville; sisters, Mrs. George [Susie] Fouste, Shelbyville and Ethel Manhart of Stewardson. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Hobart, Reuben and Floyd.
