Survived by his wife, Fannie Porterie of Port Allen; two sons, Edward Charles Porterie and Albert J. Porterie; two sisters, Geraldine Porterie and Lillian Porterie Thomas; two brothers, Emerick Porterie Jr. and Alton Porterie Sr.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emerick Porterie; mother, Beatrice Trusclair Porterie; brothers, Alfred and Alvin Porterie; sisters, Maggie Porterie Lands
and Virginia P. Frank; a brother-in-law, Henry Lands; two nephews and a stepdaughter.
Edward enjoyed being outdoors. His favorite things to do were going fishing and talking with friends and family.
