He attended Louisiana State University and the University of Virginia, he did graduate work at Tulane University in New Orleans.
He was a charter member of the New Orleans Mid-Winter Sports Association which sponsors the Sugar Bowl.
He served on the medical staffs of Tulane Medical School and Touro Infirmary. He was a former president of the Orleans Parish Medical Society and former president of the Louisiana State Medical Society. He also served as chairman of the Board of Health in New Orleans.
Dr. deLaureal is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ledbetter deLaureal of Pass Christian; five brothers, Robert Todd deLaureal Port Arthur, Texas; Dr. Thomas Hugh deLaureal Lake Charles, La, William David deLaureal, Henry Howard de Laureal and Louis Paul deLaureal, New Orleans; four sisters, Miss Marie deLaureal and Mrs. George Gardinier, Lafayette, La; Mrs. E. M. Boagni Jr., Opelousas, La and Mrs. Warren F. Taylor, Monroe, LA.
The funeral service will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, La. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
