Albert Tremblay, 55, Is Gunshot Victim
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Alphonsus Church for Albert Tremblay, 55, a lifelong Tupper resident and foreman of the village department of public works, who died of a gunshot wound, apparently self-inflicted, Saturday night.
Mr. Tremblay's body was found about 10:30 p.m. at his home, 231 Park St. He had been staying at the home of his mother, Mrs. Albina Tremblay, 227 Park St., and his own residence was unoccupied. The attention of his sister, Mrs. Blanche Hutt, was attracted by a light in Mr. Tremblay's home. Her husband, Emerson Hutt, entered the house and found him seated in a chair in the kitchen, slumped against the table. A .22 caliber rifle lay on the floor at his feet, and a bullet had pierced his heart. Dr. James Martin, named coroner's physician by Marcel Richer, Franklin County coroner, estimated the time of death at about 8 p.m. Local police investigated.
