A long-time Kerr County resident and a prior resident of Houston, he was born June 7, 1908, in Center Point. He was a civil engineering graduate of the University of Texas. He worked for the Texas Highway Department in Houston and Austin areas before returning to Center Point in 1941 where he worked as a general contractor and a farmer/rancher. He was a member and trustee of the Center Point United Methodist Church and was its treasurer for many years. He also served as a trustee of the Center Point School Board, as Kerr County Precinct Two Commissioner, as director of the Upper Guadalupe River Authority, and as director of Hilltop Village. He was the general contractor for the remodeling and addition of two floors to the Sid Peterson Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Estelle Thomason; two sons, Frank Thomason, Jr., both of Center Point, and John Thomason of Beeville and twin sister, Mrs. Frances Ramble of Uvalde.
