Alberta Rice - LISBON -- Mrs. Alberta V. Rice 72, widow of J. E. Rice died this morning at 7:30 at the home of her son, Donald Rice, 517 W. Washington St. She had been ill for a year.

Born in Mill Rock, O., Oct. 10, 1880; she was the daughter of P. A. Walton (Walter) and Mary Fife Walton (Walter). She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Rebekah Lodge. Her husband died in 1938.

Besides her son, she leaves another son, Walter Rice of Lisbon; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Wasdle (Wardle) of Youngstown, Mrs. Lucille Seegan (Seeger) of New Springfield and Mrs. Rosie Scheuring of Salem; a half-sister Mrs. June Elliot of Rogers, and three grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Eells-Leggett Funeral Home by the Rev. Cameron, retired United Presbyterian minister. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday night.
