Donald Harvey Rice
Donald H. Rice, 59 of 517 W. Washington St., Lisbon, a heavy equipment operator for the International Mill Service of Struthers, died suddenly at 4:40 this morning at his home after a short illness.
Born in Wayne Township January 15, 1919, he was the son of (Jacob) Ellsworth Rice and Alberta Walter Rice. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division during World War II and wa member of Wilfred Clunk Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4111 of Lisbon and the 82nd Army Airborne. He was a member and past president of Lisbon Eagles Aerie 2216.
Surviving are his widow, the former Beryl E. Cusick, to whom he was married June 14, 1952; two stepsons, Ralph L. Conkle of Hohenwald, Tenn, and Tom Conkle of Industry; as brother Walter Rice of Lisbon, and two step grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Eells Leggett Funeral Home in Lisbon. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
