BARBOURVILLE, Ky. — Roscoe Centers Jr., 74, of the Warren Community, passed away Monday, July 1, 2002, at the Barbourville Nursing Home. Born June 22, 1928, in Bell County, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Edna Mae Carr Centers. He was a member of Warren Missionary Baptist Church, and the Newport Masonic Lodge #358 F&AM of Newport, Ky. A U.S. Army veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict, and was a life member of the V.F.W. and
the D.A.V.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Velma Centers Evans; and a brother-in-law, Earl Cox. Survivors include his loving sisters, Shirley Evans and husband Curt, and Bonnie Cox, all of
Barbourville, and Imogene Fuson and husband R.C., of Pineville; a special friend, Vada Davis, Barbourville; special nephew, Terry Evans, Barbourville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral

services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hopper Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnold Petrey presiding. Burial will be in Detherage Cemetery at Trosper. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Fuson, Joanna Take, Tony Evans, Dr. Steve Morgan, and all his friends and neighbors from the Warren Community. Visitation is from 6-9 p.m. Friday, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Hopper Funeral Home, Barbourville, Ky.
