Mary Archer Birmingham, 84, peacefully passed away, surrounded with love, Saturday, June 2, at home after a short illness. Mary was retired from Civil Service after 30 years. She loved crocheting and knitting as hobbies. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Martha Archer; husband, William Howard Birmingham, Sr.; sisters, Cordie Hargrove, Susan Coffell, Mildred Wilson, Margaret Archer, and Helen Wright; and brothers, George Archer, David Archer and William Archer.
Survivors include daughters, Gloria Birmingham, Joy Drummond, and Valeri Drummond (Andy), all of Huntsville; and son, William H. Birmingham, Jr. (Jill) of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Jennifer Drummond, David Drummond (Andrea) of Huntsville, Tyler, Chloe and Quinn Birmingham of Anderson, SC; sister, Betty Bersherse of Toney; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Marvin McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Family Care.
