Elizabeth was the first of seven children born to Philip Myers (1809-1893) and Rosanna Buchtel (1810-1880).

Her younger siblings were Urias (b.1836), Margaret "Peggy" (b.1842), Thomas Jefferson (b.1844), James (b.1846), Susannah (b.1848), and Melinda (b.1854).

I found the family on the 1850 and 1860 Census, living in Springfield, Summit Co., Ohio.

Elizabeth married John C. Strunk on 13 Mar. 1858 in Summit Co., Ohio and they had a son together named Jennings, born in 1859. John Strunk then abandoned the family and moved to Indiana where he married Mary Jane Johnson on 10 May 1863 without first obtaining a divorce from Elizabeth.

For her part, Elizabeth also remarried without legally being divorced. She wed George Weyrick (1834-1910) on 7 Nov. 1863 in Summit Co., Ohio. and they had seven children together--Cora (1865-1933), Ida (b.1867), Morris/Maurice (b.1869), Sylvester (b.1871), twins Amelia and Elmer (b./d.1873), and Irvin (b.1874).

After Elizabeth remarried, Jennings lived with his grandparents Philip and Rosanna, where I found him on the 1870 Census, aged 11.

I found Elizabeth and George's family on the 1870 Census, living in West Twp. (today part of Plymouth), Marshall Co., Indiana, where George was farming for a living. In January of 1873, twins Amelia and Elmer were born. Elmer lived only twenty days and Amelia lived for only four months and twenty five days.

Elizabeth died in April of 1879 at age 46.
