George Meier (also spelled Mier/Meir) an inmate of the county poor farm for about 15 years, died very suddenly Tuesday morning. Coroner Merritt was summoned and decided that death was due to uremia consequently no inquest was held.

George Meier, an inmate of the county poor farm for the past sixteen years, died suddenly yesterday morning, while sitting in a chair. Coroner Merritt was summoned, and decided that death was due to uremia, consequently no inquest was held. the deceased was a former resident of West Newton.
