Nina Catherine Donahey, daughter of George and Elizabeth Yost was born April 6, 1885 at Seewis, Switzerland. She came to America with her family when she was a small child to settle near Downs, Kansas. She attended Ise school and grew to womanhood in the Downs area. She was married to Earl Donahey on April 6, 1905 at Osborne, Kansas. Following their marriage they farmed near Downs. Later they moved to a farm near Goodland where they lived for about five years before returning to Downs. They moved to Phillips County in 1919 where they farmed until 1944 when they moved to Logan. They were honored in 1955 at a Golden Wedding Anniversary observance provided by their children and grandchildren. Mr. Donahey passed away in 1955.

She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and was active in the affairs of the church when her health permitted. She was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Logan and was interested in the activities of this unit.

Following the death of her husband, she lived in Logan until about three years ago when she moved to the Phillips County Home. She passed away Tuesday, February 7, 1067 at the Phillips County Hospital following an illness of one week.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters: . . . ; 10 grandchildren and one great grand child. She is also survived by one brother, . . . and one sister . . .

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and three sisters.

She was a kind and loving mother and will be missed by her family and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday February 9, 1967 at Asbury Methodist Church at Logan. The Reverend J. C. Daniel officiated...Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan.
