Opal Graf Johnston, age 84, died at her home on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, following a battle with cancer.
She was born in Texarkana, Texas, on March 25, 1928.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben (B. D.) Johnston, her daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Dennis Woodruff, and all her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Matthews, of Texarkana, and her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Lil Johnston, of Parker, Colorado; her grandchildren and their families: Sheri Vaitkus, husband, James, and son, Jamey; Clifton Matthews, wife, Lori, and daughter, Lindsey; Heather Huckabee, husband, Paul, and daughters, Autumn and Olivia; Charla Woodruff and daughter, Nora, all of Texarkana; Alicia Rosen and husband, Bryan, of Las Vegas, Nevada; Melanie Johnston of Seattle, Washington; and Brandon Woodruff of Gatesville, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at East Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, with Bros. Danny Chaffin and Shane Melton officiating.
