He served in the 131st Regiment during the Civil War.
A carpenter by trade he lived much of his adult life in Philadelphia and when his health was failing he lived in Reading, Pa. with family.
Surviving children include Nellie w/o John F. Morgan, Minnie w/o Rev. George W. Bradford-Yoncella, Oregon, brothers Peter, John, Simon, Wellington and Charles-Wyoming.
