Funeral services were held last Thursday at St. Peter church Jefferson City for Rudolph G. Stieferman, 88, of that city, a native of Frankenstein.

"The Rev. John Fischer conducted the services for Mr. Stiefermann, who died October 16 at a Jefferson City Nursing Home. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery at Jefferson City.

"Mr. Stieferman was born October 11, 1901, to Frank and Elizabeth Backes Stiefermann. He was married April 20, 1926, at Frankenstein, to Mary Schmidt, who survives at the home.

"A retired farmer and home builder, he was a memeber of St. Peter's and the men's association of the parish.

"Other surivivors include a son, Clarence Stiefermann of Jefferson City; five daughters, Evelyn Maxey and Wilma Trachsel, both of Chamois, Mary Ann Kramer and Agnes Eynard, both of Jefferson City, and Wanda Dyke of Freeburg; three brothers, August Stiefermann of Frankenstein; Raymond Stiefermann of Columbia; and Ernest Stiefermann of Westphalia; two sisters, Gertrude Haslag and Agnes Holterman, both of Jefferson City, 26 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

"Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Peter's Church or Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility in Jefferson City."
