Bonnie (Brooks) Young of Weatherford went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, May 31, 2012.
She was born October 13, 1952 in Weatherford to Wiley and Vera Brooks. Bonnie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved fishing, camping, motorcycle riding and gardening. Bonnie also loved working with children at Travis Elementary and South Bowie Daycare.
She is preceded in death by a son, Shane Edward; parents, Bob and Vera (Brooks) Mask and her dad, Wiley Brooks.
Survivors include her husband of 41 Years, James E. Young; son, Mark Young, daughter, Vicki Mercer and her husband, Gary; three grandsons, Korben, Kade and Kasen; sister, Vada (Brooks) Mason and her husband, Lee; brother, Bobby Mask and his wife, Debbie; sister, Lisa Knight and her husband, Kenneth; and many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Memory Gardens on Mineral Wells highway.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel.
