Irene Elizabeth Kupka, 92, of Yellville, Ark., formerly of Kansas City, Kan., died Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kan. Irene was born July 14, 1919, in Shelbina, Mo., to John and Flora (Jeter) Kincade. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Indian Springs Walkers Club, Status Banking Bank IV Club, a Democrat Committee Woman for 35 years. She was one of the women chosen for the first all women juries in Kansas City, Kan. She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie C. Billups of Yellville; a sister, Elsie Downs of Shawnee, Kan.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Kupka; a son, Clifford Gordon Kupka; and a sister, Eva Spillman.
