John "Dub" Wilford Allen age, 71 of Sheridan, Arkansas passed away Wednesday May 30, 2012 at Arkansas Hospice with his loving family by his side.
He was born June 13, 1940 in Sheridan, Arkansas to the late Otha " Buck" Allen and Sarah Estellee Allen.
Dub retired from Levi Strauss as the Facilities Maintenance Engineer and was proud to have served our nation in the Navy Seabees. He also was serving as the Calvert Township Constable.
He was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner
Dub was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Max Allen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shizuko "Yoko" Allen of Sheridan Arkansas; three sons, Jim (Kelly) Allen of Gillette, Wyoming, Buck (Kathy) Allen and John (Christal) Allen both of Sheridan, Arkansas; one daughter, Mary Allen of Sheridan, Arkansas; one brother, James Marvin (Bobbie) Allen and one sister Mary Lee Shepherd, also of Sheridan, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, Tinelle, Tylor, Christy, Jake, Cody, Josh, Holly, Lisa, Elizabeth, Jessica, and Samuel; three great grandchildren, James, Mason, and Khloe, and a host of other family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., Saturday June 2, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan, Arkansas.
Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery South in Sheridan, Arkansas.
