Mary Lee Allen Shepherd, of Sheridan Arkansas, was born October 5, 1936, near the Shiloh community in Sheridan, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Otha and Estalee Lambdin Allen. She was a member of Grace Sunday School Class and First Landmark Baptist Church. She was a faithful minister's wife for over sixty years. During the ministry days, she was a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Director, Ladies Auxiliary Teacher, Shower Coordinator, and most of all a Piano accompaniment at the churches her husband pastored. Her passion was teaching piano lessons for almost 60 years. She was a former member of the Music Teachers Association of Central Arkansas where she played piano duets at The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Fine Arts Building.

She loved to quilt, sew, cook, and most importantly spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Shepherd died, December 28, 2020, at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 84 surrounded by her family in prayer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Cecil Thomas Shepherd, and brothers Max Allen and John W. Allen.

A quote from one of her nieces: “She was a faithful servant of the Lord for many years, helping others to enter His presence through the power of music and lyrics.”

Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Bethel South Cemetery with Bro. Michael Walton officiating.
