He was born on Nov. 2, 1906 at St. Peter in Graham County, the son of Joseph and Clara Braun Brungardt.
He was married to Margaret Riedel in 1929. To this union two sons were born, Raymond and Victor. His wife passed away, May 3, 1959. He later married Elsie Gabelson, who is now a resident of the Blue Valley Nursing Home in Blue Rapids, Kans.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie, a son Raymond Brungradt of Hanover, a grandson Virgil, two sisters, Angela Brungardt, Hanover, Sister Anna Rita Brungardt, Concordia; three brothers, Ben Brungardt, Washington, Simon Brungardt and Leonard Brungardt, both of Hanover.
Those preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, his son Victor, his brothers, Fred, Bonaventure, Joseph and Jonas, and his sister Catherine Linenberger.
A wake service was held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, 1981 at St. John’s Church at Hanover, Kans. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 1981 at St. John’s Church, Hanover. He was laid to rest in St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery, Seguin, Kans., where his first wife Margaret and son Victor are buried.
He was a resident of Hoxie for many years.

Note: Albert and Else were married, but only lived together for a few months. Elsie was well-to-do and her kids objected strongly to the marriage. They were never divorced, but Albert spent the remainder of his life in Hanover and lived with Angela, Leonard, Simon, and Jonas. He died in Hanover, but was buried in Seguin, KS.
