Mrs. Elizabeth Regina Roth, 71, 2915
White St., wife of Val J. Roth, died
at 9:10 p.m. Saturday at Xavier Hospital.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Sunday at
the Haudenshield Funeral Home, 2170
Central Ave., from where services will
be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday to Holy Ghost
Church. Burial will be in the East
Dubuque Cemetery.

Mrs. Roth was born May 26, 1885, at
Kieler, Wis., and moved to East Dubuque
when she was 17 years old. In 1930, she
moved to Dubuque where she has resided
since. She married Val J. Roth, Sept. 6,
1904, at St. Mary's Church in East Dubuque.

She was a member of the Holy Ghost Church
and the Ladies Guild, Rosary, and Family
Benefit Societies of that parish.

Surviving beside her husband are five
daughters, Mrs. Arno (Armella) Kuhl,
Mrs. Edward (Hilda) Beau, Mrs. Herbert
(Rita) Meyers, and Mrs. Lawrence (Madonna)
Kluesner, all of Dubuque; and Mrs. Clarence
(Helen) Havertape, Hazel Green, Wis.;
three sons, Al G. Roth, Ben J. Roth, and
Ralph W. Roth, all of Dubuque; 26 grand-
children and three great grandchildren;
one sister, Mrs. Blandina Sutton, East
Dubuque; and two brothers, Nicholas J.
Wiederholt, East Dubuque, and Val
Wiederholt, Lancaster, Wis.
