From the obituary of her aunt Etta (Bigley) Wygant, I learned that Arlene was still alive in 1972 when Etta died, and that her married name at that time was Watson. I then found these other records, which has allowed me to piece together some more information about her and her family. I believe that she was initially married to Virgil Garvie, and that she had a son named Clarence with him. She apparently married John Watson in about 1926, and I believe that they had seven children. I believe I found Virgil Garvie in the 1930 and 1940 Federal Censuses, in the Michigan Asylum for the Insane, Kalamazoo State Hospital. I have no idea what happened to him, but presume this had something to do with the end of Arlene's marriage to him. - Rick Waggener
