James Kearns Dies In Ely

"McGill, NV Feb 10 - The body of James P. Kearns, resident of this city for the past three years was accompanied to Salt Lake City Tuesday. Funeral services are to be held there Thursday morning at ten o'clock.

Mr. Kearns had been residing with a daughter, Mrs. J. E. Baker in McGill. Although seventy-nine years old he appeared in excellent health. A heart attack caused his death late Sunday afternoon.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, deceased came to this country when a young man and after residing in Leadville. Colo. a few years removed to Park City, Utah. Remaining there sixteen years, he moved again to Salt Lake City where he lived twenty-seven years.

Besides his daughter Mrs. Baker he is survived by two sons, James F. Kearns of Logan, Utah and P. F. Kearns of Toole. There are several grandchildren."
