Dorothy Marie "Dot" Schettl, age 85, of Oshkosh passed away on Thursday evening May 24, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born in Oshkosh on February 6, 1927 the daughter of Adolph and Emma (Meier) Kossl. She married Ralph Schettl on June 25, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oshkosh.

After graduating from High School in 1945 she then attended and graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. She was then employed at Mercy Medical Center as a nurse until her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Catholic Church) in Oshkosh.

"Dot" is survived by her husband Ralph Schettl of Oshkosh. Two sons: Michael (Ann) Schettl and Phillip Schettl both of Oshkosh. One daughter: Mary (Pat) Roberts of Oshkosh, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Andy and Leonard. Three sisters: Emma, Isabelle and Frieda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:30am at St. Jude Parish (Sacred Heart Catholic Church) in Oshkosh on the corner of 6th & Knapp. Father William Van De Kreeke will be the celebrant. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9am until the time of Mass.

Private committal services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
