Mrs Lena G Hopkins was born on March 7, 1902, in Kosciusko, Attala County, MS; to Mr and Mrs. Sam Barksdale.
In 1950 she united in holy matrimony to Mr. T. J. Gregory and to this union, ten (10) children were born.
In 1973 she united in holy matrimony to Mr. Madison Hopkins.
At an early age, she united with Mt. Mariah M. B. Church. Later she united with Travelers Rest M. B. Church where she served as a faithful member until her health failed.
Surviving are her eight (8) loving children, two preceded her in death; five (5) daughters, Minerva Barksdale, and Lena Mae Pearl Merritt, both of Ethel, MS; Georgia M. Cleveland of Milwaukee, WI; Hattie M. Ashford of Isola, MS; and Bernice Kimbrough of Kosciusko, MS; three (3) sons, James Willie Gregory, Louis Gregory, and Charles Gregory, all of Milwaukee, WI; two (2) stepchildren in Chicago, IL; one (1) sister-in-law, three (3) daughters-in-law; two (2) sons-in-law; fifty-six grandchildren; one hundred five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends
