Role In New Hollywood Movie
Bobby Byles, a 1956 Northwestern speech graduate, has recently completed a role in a motion picture in Hollywood for Mirish Brothers Productions.
The new movie is ""A Garden of Cucumbers" and stars Dick Van Dyke.
Byles, who has been in Hollywood for years playing roles in motion pictures and television, has appeared this year on TV programs "Bewitched." "The Rounders," '"Bonanza," and "Captain Nice."
In the summer of 1962 he returned to the College for a role in the play ""Pygmalion" with New York actress Eugenia Rawls presented at Hodges Gardens. It was the first such production in a series presented at the Gardens.
Byles visited his mother. Mrs. Charles S. Maggio, in Natchitoches during the Christmas holidays.

NATCHITOCHES - Robert John Byles, 35, of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly of Natchitoches died Tuesday at his residence after a brief illness.
Private funeral services were held Friday morning at 9 a.m. in the chapel of Blanchard's Funeral Home in Natchitoches with the Rev. Henry Beckers officiating. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery in Natchitoches.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Madeline Maggio and his grandmother, Mrs. Jeanne T. Harkins, both of Natchitoches.
