KINGSLEY, Iowa - Laurel G. "Skinny" Cliff, 77, of rural Kingsley died Friday, July 24, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.
Burial was in Kingsley City Cemetery.
Mr. Cliff was born Feb. 21, 1921, in rural Kingsley, the son of James and Jennie (Pratt) Cliff. He graduated from Union Township Consoldidated School in rural Le Mars, Iowa, in 1939. He had worked with livestock and grain farming until 1988. He had been on kidney dialysis since December 1988. He entered The Abby Care Center, Le Mars, in October 1992.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sioux City and affiliated with Union Township Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a sister, Cherry Cliff of Kingsley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Aileen Munig; and a brother-in-law, Ben Munig.
