Death claimed another early pioneer last week, summoning from this earth, Mahlon McNelly, who since an early date has been a resident of Fancy Creek. Mr. McNelly was 72 years, 10 months and 20 days of age. His illness was of short duration and death was caused by pneumonia. Mr. McNelly was a highly respected citizen and had many friends. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Howard Huffman, Mrs. Earl Wanless, Mrs. George Durnford, and Mrs. George Gillingham, and three sons, John, James and an infant.
The funeral services were held March 3rd from the Fancy Creek Presbyterian church and burial made in the adjoining cemetery.
