Everett Anderson was born in
Buena Vista county on July 31, 1905, to
Jens Peter and Mary Anderson.

In 1906 Everett moved with his
parents to Stanley county, South
Dakota. The family then returned to
Iowa in 1911, temporarily residing in
Brooke township. They later moved to
the Anderson home farm in Elk
township.

Everett attended and graduated
from the Highview consolidated
school. Following graduation he
farmed with his father.

On June 14, 1929, he was united in
marriage to Inez Burwell. This
marriage was blessed with two sons.
The family resided on farms in
Scott, Elk, and Brooke townships until
1944 when they moved to the home
farm, where they were living at the
time of his death.

Everett was a faithful member of
the Elk Baptist church where he
served in various offices. He had also
been a member of the Highview school
board and also served as township
trustee.

He was a sincere Christian man, a
kind and considerate husband and a
loving father. He loved the land that
he tilled and since his retirement from
active farming, he derived much
pleasure in daily trips to the fields.

Mr. Anderson passed away July 14,
1978, at the Buena Vista county
hospital at the age of 72 years, 11
months and 14 days.

Survivors include his wife, Inez; two
sons, Everett Dean and his wife,
LaVonne, and Dale and his wife,
Marleen, five grandchildren, Dan,
Tim and Jeff, and Gregory and Lisa;
four sisters, Mrs Earl (Hattie) Bovee
of Milford, Mrs. Elvira Ward of Sioux
City, Mrs. Paul (Audrey) Brecher of
Storm Lake and Mrs. Muriel Rlckard
of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and many other
relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
