Mrs. Mary Louisa Marshall, widow of the late Samuel E. Marshall, died at her residence at 6:20 A.M., Sunday Jan 1st, age 63 years. Mrs. Marshall was an active worker in the church and Sunday School, having joined the church in her early teens. She was a graduate of the St. Michaels High School in 1876 and is the first member of her class to die.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by four children, Misses Kate H., Susan E., and M. Louise Marshall, Mrs. N.H. Leonard, four grandchildren, a brother, Mr. T.H.H. Blades, and a sister, Mrs. John Kirby.
Funeral services were held at the Sardis M.E. Church at 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, Rev. C. Nadel Jones, officiating. The Pallbearers were: Messrs. A.H. Radcliffe, E.H. Burns, S.M. Blades, W.D.J. Morris, J.J. Carey and P.W. Harrison. Interment in Olivet Cemetery.
