Helen M. Smith Plasterer died Friday, May 25, 2012, in the home of her brother, Clarence, and his wife, Annie Smith of Lebanon. She was the wife of Roger Plasterer of Lebanon. She was born in Fredericksburg, on May 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Irvin and Emma Firestine Smith. She enjoyed collecting antiques, crafting, and sewing. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children, Karen, wife of Roy Scheetz of Lebanon, Kay, wife of Ed Gardener of Schaefferstown, and James, husband of Dorothy Carpenter of Landisville; grandchildren, Justin Gardener of Fredericksburg, Va., Dylan, Nathaniel, and Lillian Gardener at home, and Dana and Jamie Carpenter at home; brothers, Russell Smith of Fredericksburg and Clarence Smith of Lebanon; sisters, Pauline Lentz of Dingman's Ferry, Ella Belleman of Richland, and Mary Young of Jonestown; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Harry, Nestor, Samuel, William, Irvin, John, Clifford, Ray, and Wilbur; and sisters, Margaret, Katheryne, and Arlene. Inurnment will be made in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg, on Thursday, May 31, at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held in the Zion United Methodist Church, 402 W. Main St., Schaefferstown, on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by her memorial service at noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society , 526 Cumberland St., Lebanon, PA 17042; or GSH Hospice, 4th and Walnut Sts., Lebanon, PA 17042.
