Ruth married Roy Wilford Weller in 1905 and they had four children - Dorothy, Phyllis, Raymond and Norma. This marriage ended in divorce. In 1927, she married Lawrence Thomas "Red" Williams.

Mrs. Ruth Williams Rites At Armstrong

ARMSTRONG – Last rites were conducted Monday, Feb. 4, for Mrs. Ruth Williams at the First Presbyterian Church of Armstrong. The Rev. Alex Orr officiated and burial was made in Armstrong Grove cemetery. Mrs. Williams passed away Feb. 1 at Sioux Falls, S.D.

A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Burt, she was born Oct. 14, 1887, near Burt, Iowa. She came to Armstrong at the age of six years. She was baptized in the Presbyterian church at an early age. In 1905 she was united in marriage to Roy Weller of Armstrong and they became the parents of four children. One daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Butler, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters and one son. Mrs. Dorothy McNelly of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Norma Teslow and Raymond Weller of Sioux Falls, S.D.; four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Hazel Hammond, Mrs. Dorothy Crawford, Mrs. Lillian McKay and Harry Burt, all of Mount Vernon, Wash., and Mrs. Esther Watts of Armstrong; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Williams returned to Armstrong in July 1951 and resided until a short time before her death.
