Foix Burial Will Be At Shelby Today. Mother of Nine Came to Devon Territory in Homestead Days
Shelby, Sept. 27--Mrs. Cassie Foix, 63, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cleve Johnssen, at Sunburst. Death was attributed to a heart ailment of long standing.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 o'clock at the Community church in Shelby. Burial will be in the local cemetery beside the grave of her husband, Anthony, who died last April.
Mrs. Foix was born in Norway. She arrived in Toole county with the homesteaders in 1910 and resided on a ranch near Devon until several years ago.
Nine children survive: Mrs. Audrey Shaeffer, Great Falls; Mrs. Lillian Johanssen and Mrs. Delia Kincaid, Sunburst; Mrs. Mamie Johanssen and Maurice Foix, Dunkirk; Lawrence Foix, Hingham; Vivia Foix, Shelby; Mrs. Cora Day, Cut Bank, and Mrs. Effie Irven, Hollister, Idaho.
