He was appointed Leut. in Fairfield in 1704 and Captain in 1708. He was a Commissioner for the committee that set the boundaries between Conn. & New York, deputy to the court in Hartford several times between 1705 and 1722, Assistant 1724-6, Probate Judge and Judge of the County Court for Fairfield.
In 1706 he conveyed land which my mother-in-law, Esther Lord of Fairfield, sold to Robert Silliman, which formerly belonged to her former husband, Ebenezer Hawley.
His will dated Dec. 3, 1726 & proved Jan. 4, 1726/7 names wife, Elizabeth; sons: Jabez Wakeman, Samuel Wakeman - to be educated at College, Stephen Wakeman, and Ebenezer Wakeman; bequeaths to Fairfield church, Rev. Joseph Webb of Fairfield, & Rev. Samuel Cooke of Stratford.
