Patrick F. Drury, 86, Green Bay, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Odd Fellow Nursing Home, Green Bay.

He was born July 9, 1925, in Green Bay, the son of the late Atholyn (Vander Leest) and John W. Drury. Patrick was a 1944 graduate of Green Bay West High School, where he excelled in football and basketball. He lived most of his adult life in northern California. Prior to his retirement, he managed a lumber and building supply company.

Patrick was very artistic and imaginative. He especially enjoyed woodworking projects and everything was done in his customary perfectionist manner.

He was a life-long Packers fan. Patrick had a passion for all sports and found great pleasure in watching sports on television, especially football, baseball and golf. He loved playing golf and bowling, until the devastating Alzheimer's disease took everything away from him.

In 1994, Patrick returned to Green Bay to attend his 50th high school class reunion, and it was during that visit that he decided to make Green Bay his home again. Patrick reconnected with Dorothy Klysen, his high school sweetheart, and they enjoyed 18 wonderfully happy years together. As Patrick struggled with Alzheimer's disease the past five years, Dorothy was his devoted caregiver. Patrick resided with Dorothy in Green Bay until March of this year when nursing home care became necessary. She was with him daily at the nursing home, ever present with her love, kindness and care. All family members are forever grateful for all Dorothy did for Patrick.

He was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Green Bay.

Patrick is survived by the love of his life, Dorothy Klysen, Green Bay; son, Michael (Anna) Drury; daughter, Kathy (Perry) Thomas; daughter, Debbie (Lance) Sharp, all of California; sister, Joanne (Edward) Gorniak, Michigan; and brother, James (Verna) Drury, Green Bay. He is further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends.

In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his son, Dean; brother, John "Jack" Drury; sisters, Elaine (Loyal) Biebel, and Cleo (James) Hitt - (Carl) Akin.

Patrick's smile and wonderful sense of humor, with him until the end, will never be forgotten.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 28, at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Everts officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
