Norine Richards Kirk, who was born in Farmington, Utah on May 26, 1924, passed away on May 22, 2012 at the age of eighty-seven.

Norine was the daughter of Ezra Foss Richards, Jr., and Mertie Hunt. After graduating from East High School, she worked as a secretary while attending the University of Utah. She graduated with honors with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.

She taught school in the Salt Lake and Granite School Districts. She served a L.D.S. Mission in New York State, before she later married her beloved companion and sweetheart, Clive D. Kirk, in the Salt Lake Temple on June 11, 1956. Together, they served a Stake Mission.

Norine, over many years, taught Primary, Sunday School, Relief Society, and the Gospel Doctrine class. She served in the Ward Extraction program for ten years and served as a volunteer at the Jordan River Temple for over ten years.

Her greatest joys and satisfactions came from her family. She loved being with her husband surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and in later life great-grandchildren.

Norine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-five years, Clive, who died February 20, 2012. She missed him dearly and wanted to be with him again. Also preceded in death by her brother Merlon and sister Elaine. Survived by her brother Derrill (Colleen) Richards and her brother Stan (Diana) Richards, son Duane (Terri) Kirk, daughter Linda (Randy), daughter Sharon Kirk and her good friend Evelyn Ball, twenty grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thanks all those at CareSource who cared for our mother, and allowed her to die with the dignity and respect she deserved.
