A C Holder was the fifth child of Thomas Edgar and Stella Adams Holder. He moved from Elida to Lovington with his parents about 1933. While working for Senator Chavez as an executive assistant in Washington DC he met and married Ruby Madora Farrow on 16 June 1937. Later moving to Lovington to care for his aging parents, he started Holder Petroleum Company. A C was active in Lovington politics. He ran for State Senator on the Republican ticket about 1968, but was defeated. He enjoyed flying his light aircraft, golfing, hunting, and was an excellent pool player.
